Through one of its business units, PT Cedefindo, Martha Tilaar Group
held Future Beauty Talk 4.0 with the theme “Beauty Reimagined: Biotech,
Wellness & the Next Cosmetic Frontier” on Thursday, April 30th. This
forum presented three experts in the beauty industry, namely Dr. Kilala
Tilaar who is the CEO of Martha Tilaar Group and Global Beauty Expert
as the keynote speaker, Maily Mustofa (Head of Research & Innovation
Martha Tilaar Innovation Center), and Stacey Fraser (Product
Development) from Catenbury University New Zealand. They discussed
perspectives related to research, innovation, and development of global
beauty products.
As the opening remarks, Dr. Kilala presented the
findings of her visits to Cosmoprof Bologna and in-Cosmetics Paris,
covering a range of global cosmetic trends that will boom in 2027, from
technology and color to raw materials. He emphasized that globally,
beauty trends are shifting toward holistic approaches, such as longevity
science, neurocosmetics, and the use of upcycled materials. Despite the
significant opportunities, the beauty industry still faces challenges,
ranging from the need for research investment, regulatory dynamics, and
readiness to adopt technology. Cross-sector collaboration involving
government, industry, academia, and business players is key to creating
sustainable growth.

Development Expert from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand) was
also present to share global trends and the latest product developments,
