Martha Tilaar Group Promotes Innovation and Sustainability in the Beauty Industry Through Future Beauty Talk 4.0

Through one of its business units, PT Cedefindo, Martha Tilaar Group held Future Beauty Talk 4.0 with the theme “Beauty Reimagined: Biotech, Wellness & the Next Cosmetic Frontier” on Thursday, April 30th. This forum presented three experts in the beauty industry, namely Dr. Kilala Tilaar who is the CEO of Martha Tilaar Group and Global Beauty Expert as the keynote speaker, Maily Mustofa (Head of Research & Innovation Martha Tilaar Innovation Center), and Stacey Fraser (Product Development) from Catenbury University New Zealand. They discussed perspectives related to research, innovation, and development of global beauty products.

As the opening remarks, Dr. Kilala presented the findings of her visits to Cosmoprof Bologna and in-Cosmetics Paris, covering a range of global cosmetic trends that will boom in 2027, from technology and color to raw materials. He emphasized that globally, beauty trends are shifting toward holistic approaches, such as longevity science, neurocosmetics, and the use of upcycled materials. Despite the significant opportunities, the beauty industry still faces challenges, ranging from the need for research investment, regulatory dynamics, and readiness to adopt technology. Cross-sector collaboration involving government, industry, academia, and business players is key to creating sustainable growth.

Along with Dr. Kilala, Stacey Fraser (Product Development Expert from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand) was also present to share global trends and the latest product developments, as well as the Head of Research & Innovation of the Martha Tilaar Innovation Center, Maily, who presented insights into science-based research and innovation.

In addition to being attended by several important figures in the beauty industry, namely the Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), Taruna Ikrar, and the General Chairperson of PERKOSMI, Sancoyo Antarikso, Future Beauty Talk 4.0 was attended by more than 400 participants consisting of beautypreneurs, beauty enthusiasts, and representatives of companies operating in the beauty industry.
