Martha Tilaar Group begins from a small beauty salon established by DR. (H.C.) Martha Tilaar at a garage sized 4x6 meter in 1970. In 1981, the company called PT Martina Berto was founded by Dr. HC. Martha Tilaar, (the late) Pranata Bernard, and Theresa Harsini Setiady, established the first modern factory on Jl. Pulo Ayang No. 3, Pulogadung Industrial Estate, which manufactures cosmetics and herbal medicine with brand  Sariayu Martha Tilaar for the first time. In 1986, the company built a second modern factory on Jl. Pulo Kambing, Pulogadung Industrial Estate (Pulo Kambing Factory).

Following the successful Beauty Talk Glow Economy at Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung, Martha Tilaar Group & Friends visited Semarang State University (UNNES) this time (9/10). With the event titled "With Brand Founders, Ignite Your Spirit, Turn Your Passion into Real Action," the glow economy concept aims to encourage beautypreneurship among students, encouraging them to take the plunge into entrepreneurship, creating new jobs, and adding value to society, particularly in the beauty industry.

Glow Economy Encourages Entrepreneurship at Parahyangan Catholic University

The inspiring talk show "Glow Economy: Beautypreneurs Take the Lead" recently visited Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) in Bandung (3/10). The event featured six speakers, founders of leading Indonesian cosmetics companies. They were Dr. Kilala Tilaar (Sariayu Martha Tilaar), Muhammad Hadiyatullah and Muhammad Raafi (Brighty), Tri Putra Salim and Darmanto Odwin (Smith), and Priscillia Pangemanan (SASC). Also present was Dr. Istiharini, CMA, CPM (Head of the Bachelor of Management Program at Parahyangan Catholic University).
