CSR Collaboration of Kampoeng Djamoe Organik Martha Tilaar with UKRIDA
Last Wednesday (28/5), Kampoeng Djamoe Organik (KaDO) Martha Tilaar
together with Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA) collaborated to
run a CSR program in the form of community service in Sundawenang
Village, Sukabumi, West Java. The community service activity which themed
Ergonomics Counseling and Health Checks for Parungkuda Farmers also
invited Dr. Irwan A. Soenandi, Dr.dr. Yosephine Sri Sutanti, the UKRIDA
FTIK and FKIK teams, and the Martha Tilaar KaDO team.
Through
this counseling activity, UKRIDA shared insights about good and
appropriate body posture for farmers to avoid work accidents. Body
position when working in the garden, such as hoeing, harvesting,
post-harvest, for most farmers may seem ordinary and can be done easily,
but it turns out that there are several more appropriate techniques so
that farmers can avoid potential work accidents, especially joint pain
and muscle injuries.
In addition to providing health education,
the team of doctors from UKRIDA also conducted health checks on all
participants. They were able to check their blood pressure, blood sugar,
and blood cholesterol levels in turns. At the end of the event, farmers
also received the results of the examination and medicine from UKRIDA
and herbal drinks from Kampoeng Djamoe Organik.
Along with the
health checks carried out in turns between participants, Kampoeng Djamoe
Organik also provided training in making fresh herbal medicine that is
good for the health and fitness of farmers. Among them, Mr. Wawan from
Kampoeng Djamoe Organik shared a recipe for herbal medicine for gout and
cholesterol made from a mixture of mango, lime, ginger, sambiloto,
Dutch teak leaves, honey, and others.
