Joining as a member of Intercolor since 2018, the Martha Tilaar Foundation recently represented Indonesia at the Intercolor Congress held in Foshan, China, on November 19-21, 2025. Intercolor is a non-profit organization initiated by international color experts, formed in 1963 and comprising a group of color experts from various disciplines.

At the 126th Intercolor Congress, along with 16 other countries, namely China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Paris, Germany, England, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States, Indonesia participated in designing and determining world color trends for Winter 2027/2028. As in previous congresses, in the process of determining world color trends, each country submitted around 3-4 mood boards for developing ideas as derivative themes from the main theme determined by Intercolor through the congress.

Regarding the Martha Tilaar Foundation's involvement in Intercolor, last year, in May 2024, Indonesia even had the opportunity to host the Intercolor congress, which discussed the Spring/Summer 2026 colors in Bali. The results of the Intercolor congresses in Bali and Switzerland resulted in three mood boards predicted to become trends among young people. The three mood boards presented several color palettes ranging from soft and playful, to warm, to bold, which match the spirit of Gen Z.

Colors aren't just trends, they're also tools for self-expression that can be tailored to your mood and desired message. The colors produced at the Intercolor congress serve as a valuable reference for creators and brands across various sectors, from textiles and automotive to interior design and cosmetics.
