In order to commemorate Indonesian Tree Planting Day which is celebrated every November 28, Thursday (27/11) Martha Tilaar Group through one of its business units, namely PT Martina Berto Tbk, participated in the 2025 Simultaneous Rare Tree Planting activity initiated by the Indonesian Rare Tree Forum. The 2025 Simultaneous Rare Tree Park activity was carried out at 53 planting points with the support of 64 collaborating institutions throughout Indonesia. On the island of Java alone, there were 24 points and 31 collaborating institutions involved in the 2025 Simultaneous Rare Tree Planting activity, one of which was the Martha Tilaar Organic Djamoe Village (KaDO).

For this initiative, PT Martina Berto Tbk partnered with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to obtain rare trees, which we then planted and preserved at KaDO Martha Tilaar. With BRIN's support, KaDO Martha Tilaar was able to plant 42 rare trees representing 12 species. The twelve trees are Kasturi (Mangifera casturi Kosterm.), Gaharu (Aquilaria malaccensis Lam.), Balakatoa (Zingiber odoriferum Blume), Saninten (Castanopsis argentea (Blume) A.DC), Kayu Lawang (Cinnamomum culilaban (L.) Presl.), Damar Minyak (Agathis borneensis Warb.), Angsana (Pterocarpus indicus Willd), Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica var. Murta Laliere), Ulin (Eusideroxylon zwageri), Koenih Rimbo (Curcuma sumatrana Miq.), Honje Hutan (Etlingera hemisphaerica (Blume) R.M. Sm.), and Gambir (Uncaira gambir Roxb.).

As expressed by Bryan Tilaar, President Director of PT Martina Berto Tbk in his remarks, the involvement of Kampoeng Djamoe Organik Martha Tilaar in the Indonesian Rare Tree Forum activity is a source of pride for the company because it is a true implementation of one of the Martha Tilaar Group pillars’s, Beauty Green pillar. Hopefully, through the planting of rare trees carried out simultaneously in several regions of Indonesia, Martha Tilaar Group can contribute to increasing public awareness of the importance of trees for the preservation of nature and the survival of living things. Martha Tilaar Group believes that one tree that we plant will be a new hope for the future of the earth.

Let’s keep Beautifying Indonesia!
