To commemorate International Childhood Cancer Day 2026, which falls on February 15th, Puspita Martha International Beauty School, in collaboration with the Indonesian Foundation for Children with Cancer (YKAKI), held the Berani Gundul (Dare to Go Bald) 2026 event on February 15th. Held at the Senayan Multipurpose Building in Central Jakarta, the event demonstrated concern and empathy for children battling cancer who are struggling to achieve recovery.

As stated by the Chairperson and founder of YKAKI, Ira Soelistyo, this activity aims to raise public awareness of childhood cancer. The hair-shaving action in #BeraniGundul 2026 is also a form of empathy and support for children who are cancer survivors who are undergoing treatment. Not only held in Jakarta, this activity was recorded to be held in 8 cities with different implementation times, namely in Jakarta (February 15, 2025), Bandung (February 8, 2026), Semarang (February 14, 2026), Yogyakarta (February 17, 2026), Riau (February 11, 2026), Makassar (February 15, 2026), Surabaya (February 15, 2026), and Manado (February 15, 2026).

This isn't the first time Puspita Martha participating in the Berani Gundul program. Previously, the beauty school, which operates under the Martha Tilaar Group umbrella, was also involved in the Berani Gundul event. As in previous years, Puspita Martha brought in 20 competent hairdressers to provide haircuts for participants supporting the Berani Gundul movement.

Hopefully, the involvement of Puspita Martha International Beauty School will be a small but meaningful form of solidarity for children fighting cancer and hopefully this concern can grow hope in their hearts.
