DR. Martha Tilaar Receives Lifetime Achievement Award - Indonesia Women Award 2012

Turning 75 years old, DR Martha Tilaar is still eager to grow Indonesia’s next generation of beauty. Several national and international has been awarded, be it as a beautypreneur (entrepreneur in cosmetic and beauty industry), or as a personal social figure.

In celebrating Kartini’s Day, Ideku Group Majalah Business Review held Indonesian Women Award (Anugerah Perempuan Indonesia 2012) on April 19, 2012 at Dharmawangsa Hotel. The award is given to 36 women founder, CEO and Board of Directors from leading companies in government, government-owned industries, entrepreneur, education, politic and environment. All candidates are evaluated based on their work and leadership in their respective companies.
 

From 1000 women leaders nominated for the award, DR Martha Tilaar as the Founder and Chairwoman of Martha Tilaar Group was chosen as the recipients of the award as well as one special award titled Lifetime Achievement Award for Indonesian Women and the World in Cosmetics and Beauty Industry. The award was given by Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of Indonesia, Mrs. Linda Gumelar.

Also present at the event are leading businesswomen such as BR Irawati, CEO of PT. Kalbe Farma, Jussabela Sahes, CEO of PT. Pelni, Parwati Surjaudaja, CEO of OCBC NISP and Frederica Widyasari Dewi, Director of Indonesia Stock Exchange.

These women are today’s Kartini. The heroines can lead the companies to help developing their peers and the country’s economic growth as well as caring about their surroundings and balancing their career and family. Hats off for Indonesian women.
