Congratulation! Indonesia Won 34 Asian Skills Competition 2018 Medals

As soon as they landed from Bangkok, Thailand, for Asian Skills Competition XII 2018 on August 31 – September 4, all Indonesia delegation are scheduled to receive award from the Minister of Manpower of Republic Indonesia, Hanif Dhakiri. Held at the Ministry of Manpower office in Jakarta (6/09), this event started by Hanif speech.

“Congratulation to all competitors who struggled for Indonesia. We won 34 medals, it is sign that Indonesia capable, competent, and ready to compete with other countries. Through Asians Skills Competition, we hope Indonesia will have role model for prospective workers in the future,” said Hanif. 

 On Asian Skills Competition 2018, Indonesia received 34 medals, 13 gold, 3 silver, and 7 diploma. This achievement brought Indonesia to 2nd rank, followed by Vietnam and Malaysia. Meanwhile Thailand as host country won as the champion. “Even so, average score for Indonesia team are higer than Thailand. Indonesia received 717,66 with 44 delegations in 22 vocationals, Thailand received 707,81 with 52 delegations in 26 vocationals,” he added.

One of Indonesia delegations who succeed to bring gold medal is Miftakhul Jannah Ramadhani or called Mefta. She chosen to be 3rd champion in National Champion selection for Hairdressing. Before she flew to Bangkok, Mefta prepared herself by doing intens training in Puspita Martha International School forone year.  The involvement of Puspita Martha continued to the competition. Pinkan Tilaar as School Director of Puspita Martha also went to Bangkok as Mefta’s escort Expert during Asian Skills Competition 2018. Therefor, along with Mefta and Pinkan Tilaar, Dr. (H.C) Martha Tilaar also came to awarding event to represent Puspita Martha as supporting Training Center (TC) Asian Skills Competition XII Hairdressing Vocational.
