Martha Tilaar Group to Support the Second Aku Anak Rusun Operetta Performance

Last weekend (16/11) Dr. Martha Tilaar and her daughter Wulan Tilaar attended Aku Anak Rusun Opperetta that presented by Ibu Rusun of Marunda. Ibu Rusun is an informal term for the committee who takes care of the community in Marunda flats, with Veronica Tan as the coordinator, who consistently supports positive and creative activities of Marunda flats’s children. Not only to watch their performance, Dr. Martha and Wulan also came as the company’s representative, for Martha Tilaar Group is one of the main sponsors to the event.
It was the second time Aku Anak Rusun Operetta has held at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater, Jakarta. The performance called “Selendang Arimbi†–Arimbi’s Shawl, which tells the story about a girl’s dream to be a dancer just like her parents, but because of her poor life, Arimbi should help her mother to sell shawls for living. In the end, her strong determination unexpectedly brings happiness for her and her mother.
Hundreds of children from three flats in Jakarta, which are Marunda Flats, Rawa Bebek Flats, and Pulogebang Flats involved on this stage. All of them were beautified by Puspita Martha International Beauty School using Sariayu from Martha Tilaar. “There were about 200 children who took the role for Aku Anak Rusun “Selendang Arimbi†Operetta. For this event, Sariayu did the collaboration with 19 makeup artist from Puspita Martha to do the makeup and hairdo,†said Shenny Daud, the makeup and hairdo coordinator from Sariayu. “We did all the makeup for the actors, including Mrs. Veronica who is also made a special appearance on “Selendang Arimbi,†she continued.
