Martha Tilaar Group Contribution to Maximize NTB Tourism

In order to maximize potential tourism of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and to support masive tourism development, Martha Tilaar Group will give contribution in bilateral corporation between Indonesia and Germany government. Focus on manpower promotion, this bilateral cooperation will be supported by the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) and inplemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through Investment and Innovation for Inclusive Sustainable Economic Development (ISED).

Through a Memorandum od Undestanding, stated that this collaboration that also run by stakeholders will focus on two implementation sectors. One of the implementations will be centered in Bilebante Village, Central Lombok and focus on Healthy Tourist Village. In the future, this village expected to be able to develop its potential and could maximize its capacity, so people who live there could feel the benefits.

“It’s our pleasure that Martha Tilaar Group could involved in this initiative. With resources we owned, we believe we could deliver our contribution in Healthy Tourism Village in NTB. We hope this project could be good pilot for others areas in Indonesia to follow,” says Palupi Candra, Head of Corporate Communication and CSR of Martha Tilaar Group. Martha Tilaar Group through Kampoeng Djamoe Organik, Roemah Martha Tilaar and Martha Tilaar Centre will train people there to be an empowered and independent individual, so they will be able to increase their family financial.

Besides Martha Tilaar Group, some of public and private sectors that involed are PT. Panorama Sentrawisata Tbk, Santika Mataram Hotel, Allianz Care Foundation, Ministry of Villages, Rural Regions Development, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry Tourism of Indonesia, and Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia.
